           Parents as Influencers

 This survey is for parents or guardians of young people aged between 16 and 19 who are considering applying/have applied for university (but are not yet at university).
 
It is being conducted by Alterline on behalf of Next Steps South West. It aims to find out more about what influences young people’s higher education choices. Alterline will write a research report with the results which may be available to the public. The report will inform Next Steps South West's marketing and communications strategy in relation to parents.

Personal data you provide to us with will only be used for the purposes stated and for which you give your consent. They will not be kept longer than is necessary. Information you provide will not be associated with your name, identity or contact details when reported. Anonymised information and data sets may be shared with Next Steps South West including demographic information if you provide it, and/or used in research reports which may or may not be available to the public. If you provide written responses to open ended questions, quotes from these responses may be used in reports alongside broad demographic information that does not allow any individual to be identified.
 
NB: If you disclose any information during this research which leads Alterline to believe that you are at risk of harm to yourself or others, we have a safeguarding obligation to report this to the appropriate authority. However please note that your responses are not viewed in real time.
