This survey is for University students. It is being conducted by Alterline on behalf of students' unions and universities across the United Kingdom (UK). It aims to understand and explore the wellbeing and mental health of University students across the UK to help students’ unions and universities to plan the services and support they offer.
It should take around 15 minutes to complete. We want to hear from as many students as possible, whatever their experience or knowledge of mental health - you don’t need to have personal experience of mental health problems to complete this survey.
As a thank-you for taking part, Sheffield Hallam University will be donating money to food banks in the Sheffield City region based on the number of responses to the survey. £100 will be donated for 1000 responses, £200 will be donated for 2000 responses, £300 will be donated for 3000 responses and so on.
As a thank-you for taking part, you can choose to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 x £100 cash prize. The closing date for the prize draw will be 8th March 2021. A winner will be chosen randomly by Alterline and contacted within two weeks of the draw date.
This survey includes questions about what your life is like at the moment, your wellbeing and mental health, your life experiences - including difficult life events you have been through - and any support you receive or would consider seeking, if you needed it.
If you disclose any information during this research which leads Alterline to believe that you are at risk of harm to yourself or others, we have a safeguarding obligation to report this to the appropriate authority.
